Teacher Biography

Ruth Cutcher received her BA in Music with an emphasis in classical guitar from Metropolitan State College of Denver. She studied guitar with Alex Komodore and David Evans, two Denver-area virtuoso classical guitarists.

Ruth is active as a solo and ensemble performer. She has a wealth of ensemble experience from marching band, jazz band, orchestra, to informal punk band, bluegrass jams and classical guitar duo.

Ms. Cutcher did graduate work at Colorado State University in Music Therapy, Music History and Women’s Studies. Ms. Cutcher is a member Suzuki Association of the Americas, The Guitar Foundation of America, and the Suzuki Association of Indiana.

Ruth is a nationally certified Parents as Teachers Parent Educator and is trained in Touchpoints based on the early childhood research of Dr. Bill Brazelton.
